GerI
GerI is a mobile app for registered healthcare professionals who prescribe for older people. Its first tool, ACMI Scanner, reads a photographed medication list on the phone, scores anticholinergic burden using the Anticholinergic Medication Index, shows the related STOPP version 3 criteria and helps the clinician build a deprescribing plan.
Text recognition runs on the phone. Photographs and recognised text are not stored by the app and are never transmitted.
GerI is in evaluation with NHS colleagues on iPhone and Android. It supports medication review by a prescriber; it does not diagnose or treat.
